Professional Teeth Whitening In Highlands Ranch, CO
Our office currently offers two types of professional whitening services: in-office KoR treatments and custom-made trays to use at home with ZOOM whitening.
In-office. The KOR system starts by covering up vulnerable areas inside the mouth, including the lips and gums, to prevent exposure to the peroxide. Then, we activate a high-concentrate hydrogen peroxide gel directly to the teeth. You will rest comfortably (and watch a movie if you’d like) for a short time until the gel works. Then, we remove the coverings and rinse the gel away. The in-office whitening procedure takes about 90 minutes. You also receive take-home trays so you can do touch-ups as needed to maintain your beautiful smile.
Custom-made trays. We will take a custom mold of your teeth to make clear trays you take home, along with ZOOM whitening gel. These trays will help minimize the risk of whitening gel affecting your gums or mouth, and you can whiten your teeth from the comfort of your home. All you have to do is place the whitening gel inside the trays and place the trays in your mouth.

What are the benefits of teeth whitening?
Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dental procedure with several benefits. Here are some key benefits of teeth whitening:
Enhanced Appearance: The most immediate benefit of teeth whitening is a brighter, more attractive smile. Whitening can remove stains caused by coffee, tea, red wine, certain foods, smoking, and aging, leading to a visibly improved smile.
Boosted Self-Confidence: A whiter smile can significantly boost self-confidence, whether in professional settings, social situations, or daily interactions.
Improved Oral Hygiene: Professional teeth whitening can motivate individuals to adopt a better oral hygiene regimen to maintain their new bright smile. This often includes more diligent brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups.
Minimally Invasive: Teeth whitening is a non-invasive procedure, offering a cosmetic improvement without the need for needles, drilling, or altering the tooth structure.
Anti-aging Effect: A whiter smile can have a youthful effect, often considered a quick, non-surgical way to look younger.
Quick and Convenient: Professional teeth whitening can provide noticeable results in a single session, with treatments ranging from in-office procedures to convenient at-home options tailored to fit a busy lifestyle.
Customizable Treatments: Teeth whitening treatments can be customized to fit individual needs and sensitivity levels, ensuring a comfortable experience with optimal results.
It's important to consult with a professional before undergoing teeth whitening to ensure the treatment is appropriate for your dental health and to achieve the best possible outcome.
Is teeth whitening safe?
In general teeth whitening is considered to be safe. Professional teeth whitening treatments are the safest option for your teeth. If you are using at-home teeth whitening solutions, it's important to be careful not to overdo it. For abrasive whiteners, it's important to not use them too often or too aggressively as this can damage your enamel. If using chemical whiteners, use strips that have a lower concentration of the chemical, and don't leave them on for too long. This can cause tooth sensitivity and discomfort in the gums.
