At Highlands Ranch Smiles, we offer Invisalign treatments. And so Invisalign is a series of clear plastic trays. Each one is custom-fit to you and moves your teeth just little, little by little, in order to get your optimal results. The technology on Invisalign has just really improved. Year after year, they they come out with new things, and we are seeing treatment times half of what they used to be. Our average patient typically gets their results with Invisalign within 12 months, which is much faster than it used to be, and they are very difficult to notice since they are the clear plastic, and as compared to traditional braces, they're much more comfortable.
They are still moving your teeth, so yes, there is still some pressure, but you don't have the brackets, the wires to kind of catch around the tissue. And it is a more controlled movement since you basically get a mini adjustment every week with a new updated tray instead of just going in once a month for an orthodontic tightening. We just tend to see in general that it's a lot more comfortable to go through your Invisalign treatment and that it has been much, much quicker in recent years.
